Ek tha Tiger trailer and song promo!

So, this might be the most anticipated movie this year in India. Katrina as always looks stunning. I think she has the best body in Bollywood right now. Salman is funny and I hope the movie meets my expectations.

Here is the trailer:

PSY's Gagnam Style

OMG, this is the most epic video to come out of 2012. There is so much awesomeness in this video. I love the cameos. Now, I wish all k-pop artists had as much fun as PSY. BTW, the song is in my head already.

2NE1 'I love you' MV is finally here!

OMG, I have been playing this song constantly and i had to wait 2 days for the music video. Oh, the agony! This is the prettiest music video for 2ne1. All the girls look super sexy and dayum Cl and her hot body. I love Dara's hair, Bom is so cute and this is the prettiest Minzy has looked. Perfect song with perfect mv.

SuJu's sexy new single vs. T-ara's Apocalypse

So both Super Junior and T-ara released their new Mvs. I like that guys look good and Kangin is back. The dance I love. The Mv is just the same old same old. Come on Sm Ent, you have so much money, can we have more creative videos please? As for the song, not feeling it yet, but maybe if I listen it to more(?)

T-ara also released their new song Day by Day and like most of their songs, it is very catchy. Despite it being too long, I like the MV. But, I feel the less popular members always get the short stick. So, far in the MV, we have Hyomin, Jiyeon and the new girl Dani. The preview also shows Eunjung. Seriously, what about Qri, Boram, Hwayoung, and Soyeon? As always, we will have to wait for the dance version to see the faces of other members. CCM makes it hard to be a fan of T-ara.

4minute's "Bollywood" Parody of Volume UP

I still do not know how I feel about this video. Do I hate it? Do I find it funny? I can't quite articulate it. First, it doesn't seem to be malicious. Second, it is not "Bollywood" exactly. The video is a riff of a viral South Indian song. Third, what language are they singing in, is it really Hindi? If it is Hindi, it is quite atrocious.

Korean Drama Updates: June 2012

I had a crazy busy spring where I had no time to watch any good Korean dramas. However, lots of good dramas are out. I am watching Queen In Hyun's Man. Man, I love this drama and the sweet, caring hero. Just totally love the OTP. I have also started on Big, the Hong Sisters drama. Man, Hong Sisters have worked their magic again. Also, it stars Gong Yoo. Enough said. Finally, to round it up, I am watching Gakistal/Bridal Mask. I love love love this drama and I want to smack the main character. There better be an awesome redemption arc because right now he is a total scumbag.
I now leave you with an amazing kiss from Queen In Hyun's man. Enjoy :D

Wonder Girls 'Like This' MV

Okay, Wonder girls also released their new song at the same day as Big Bang. You know what this means right? Wonder Bang Reunion 2012! Seriously, JYP and YG need to make this happen asap. I love the song and pleasantly surprised by the mv. There was no JYP whisper and the music video seemed fresh. I really do think JYP is making more fun videos. First, the JJ Project with cool attitude and now this. Love it, keep up the good work. Oh, and the dance also seems fun.

Big Bang 'Monster' MV

I really like this video. I have come to expect high quality music videos when it comes to Big Bang. I like how the music video starts with the perspective of a "monster." The song is good although not my favorite from Big Bang's new special edition album. Overall, it is good with the exception of horrid hair on GD, Daesung and especially on Taeyang. Now, I just cannot wait for 2ne1 to come back this June.

Satyamev Jayante: a show to warm your soul

So, I finally watched the much touted show helmed by Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan. The show which is a talk show modelled on Oprah talks about issues usually not discussed openly in India. The first three episodes discussed topics such as Female Infanticide, Child Sexual Abuse and Dowry. Aamir handled each topic with sensitivity and loads of empathy. I also liked how the show had done its research thoroughly. The shows covers all of India not just the Hindi cow belt region. Although, the show is in Hindi, it is dubbed in several regional languages. I loved the music at the end of each episode that sums up the feelings of that episode. Now, I am not naive and think India's problems will be magically solved by 1 show. However, the show does bring to light taboo topics in India and facilitates discussion. That in itself is the first step in tackling such societal evils. You can find the show on Youtube, on the website Satyamev Jayate. It is also eng subbed on Youtube. BTW, I am in love with the official theme song. Enjoy :D

P.S: I also like that Aamir doesn't just preach. The audience and the viewers can actively take part by signing petitions and supporting charities.

JJ Project Bounce: American attitude in Korean Package?

So finally JJ project have released a song. I know there was a lot of anticipation especially after Dream high 2. The song is fine, it is already growing on me. I found the mv very Americanized. It sort of reminds me of a less crazy version of LMFAO music vids. Although, there is an argument to be made that most k-pop vids are westernized anyway. I dunno maybe its the in your face attitude that I usually expect from YG Ent.

Junsy (Xia) Tarantallegra MV

This song is all kinds of awesome. First, I love the music video which is over the top and very theatrical. I love Junsu and his earring. I like the song and the dance choreography. NOW I ONLY WISH JUNSU WOULD BE ALLOWED TO PROMOTE THIS ON MUSIC PROGRAMS. Why? BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME. IT IS AT TIMES LIKE THIS, I LIKE SAYING FU TO SM. This awesomeness needs to be shared. Dear JYJ Fans, please support him. Click the replay button over and over again.

Happy Mother's Day 2012

For Mother's day, I baked a mango cake for my mom. She really liked it and we haven't quite finished it yet. I wish all the readers Happy Mothers Day. Now, go do something nice for your mom. I leave you with this song. My mom totally digs it.

Shanghai (Hindi movie)Trailer

Dibakar Banerjee's latest creative piece. I cannot wait to see this movie. The man is so aware of what's going on in the world. He's politically astute and I always enjoy his take on India. His movies are also very entertaining.

Dara Shinee Etude House Ad 2

Before I talk about the ad, I just wanna say President Obama has come out to support Gay Marriage. I am so happy. As a Canadian, we have already legalized it and I remember all the debates around it at the time. At the end of the day, heterosexual couples still marry and the sanctity of marriage is not in any danger like some nutcases preached. Now I just hope people from the LGBT community support him by voting for him in the next election. As for the ad, the guys are cute but what is with the awkward shuffling. It looks like they need to go pee. Dara makes an adorable cheerleader. BTW, I heart Korea for letting guys endorse a makeup brand. I mean guys are putting makeup on and it is not considered 'gay.' The ad made me realize how much we see products in a binary way. In ancient Egypt Pharaohs wore makeup and it was cool for both sexes to rock it.

Dara Shinee Etude House World Championship ad

This ad is so funny and cute. Man, Korean ads are just better than Canadian ads. I so want to buy Etude House products.

Sistar's Alone MV + Live Performance

So, Sistar were the direct competition for 4 minute. Whereas I liked Volume up MV, I wasn't a fan of the live performance. The weakest links vocally were Hyunah and Jihyun. However, Hyuna makes it up with great stage presence, Jihyun is anaemic on stage. Sistar on the other hand were great. Of course, Hyorin sings most of the lines but she has strong vocals, stage presence and charisma. I didn't mind the rapping and singing of other members. Overall, their live performance was so much better. I just cannot believe I never listened to Sistar before. Alone is my current fave K-pop song. I've been jamming to it for the past week.

Girl's Generation Twinkle MV

So SNSD have a new sub group with Taeyeon, Seohyun and Tiffany. They have released a new song and the MV features lots of aegyo, pink, fluffiness, cute dog. You get the gist of the MV. I am surprised at myself that I don't hate this video. It reminds me of Wondergirls and So Hot. Enjoy the song, the girls as always look very pretty and doll like. Exo-K members make a cameo that I am sure fangirls will love.

Etude House Shinee Dara New Ad Promo

So, Shinee and Dara did the cutest promo for a new lipstick called Kissnote. I am guessing most of you have already seen it. This is a new promo for their BB cream. It is o cute and I am so excited.

Rowdy Rathore Songs and Trailer Promo

I am still sticking with my promise of posting an article a day. I guess I am trying to make up for my hiatus. So, Prabhu Deva is behind this movie. I am cautiously optimistic. The trailers haven't convinced me of Akshay as a good actor. I just find him so blah compared to Mr. Salman Khan. But, maybe I am wrong because Akshay can be good when he wants to. I loved him in Dhadkan. The songs in this movie are fun and I love the item number.

Ishqzaade Trailer and Song Promo

So, this is the Indian movie I am most excited about. The leads are fresh and interesting and the movie seems loads of fun. Hope the movie lives up to my expectations.

Aafton Ke Parinde is one of the songs I have constantly replayed. I love the combo of filmi music and dubstep.

Pareshaan is my second favourite song. I wasn't too fond of other songs like Chokra Jawaan but I do find Gauhar endearing and happy that she is part of the movie.

I am back and Rurouni Kenshin Trailer is out!

So, after a long hiatus, I am back to blogging. Cannot believe my favourite BB and Shinee debuted during my break. Do not worry, I have all their songs and I supported them quietly. I'll be posting more frequently since I need to catch up. For now, enjoy this super cool Rurouni Kenshin Trailer. I cannot wait to watch this movie. It is one of my favourite manga ever.

MBLAQ's Hello Baby vs. SNSD's Dangerous Boys

Source: soompi.com

So, I know I promised to write about Variety shows I love. Just wanted to say how these two are so different in tone. I really like Dangerous Boys not because I think all the girls are great mentors because let's face it, they are not. Okay, maybe Sunny is but that's cuz she is awesome. You really get to see the girl's personalities and the girls seem relaxed and happy after a long time. I just hope after the show ends, SM gives them a break. Few problems with the show are that I think the Guys need more counselling with the Psychologists then they are getting now. Also, don't think their behaviour is gonna change very soon. They need long-term guidance and need to find male mentors. As a person who has actually volunteered for Big Brother Big Sister program, guys need a positive male influence in their lives.

I am adding a link so y'all can watch it.

Source: asianpopcorn.com

Now to MBLAQ's Hello Baby, I love the kids. I didn't think they would be able to replace Shinee season but they did. The kids are multicultural and Lauren is half Canadian :D  Anyhoo, I think the kids seem like kids in this season, they are just so darn natural. Also love that they are not all angelic but they get angry, act out and you know act like "real kids." Lauren is adorable, Dayoung is da boss. Leo is super energetic. Now, I have seen up to ep. 4 of the show. I know people weren't happy with Mir and I'll say he is seriously immature. However, Joon surprised me with is thoughtfulness with Dayoung. Thunder and Seungho rock and G.O is starting to understand Dayoungie.

Abmsubs are subbing it. Here is a link .

Anyway, watch both shows since they are entertaining.

P.S: I am watching Shut Up! Flower Boy Band. It is my crack  for 2012. Well written, great acting and good music. Oh, full of hotties too. What's not to love! It is on DramaFever so go ahead and watch it.

Drama update 2012: City Hunter and more!

So, yeah I showed my parents and brother 49 days and City Hunter. I still have not watched episode 20. Eeek. But my Dad got super addicted and he has finished the final episode without me. He was the most grumpy about me watching a Korean Drama and now he is the one who is addicted. Korean dramas are so cracktastic. LOL! I am thinking of watching History of a Salary Man since I have only heard good things about it. Also thinking of showing my parents Protect the Boss. I just don't have time for Ojjakayo Brothers but that is on my To watch in Summer list. Any J-drama suggestions would be helpful. Also, I am totally watching SNSD and the dangerous Boys. I'll post more about it later.

Kids react to K-pop and Zombies!

So, some K-pop fans have gone bat-shit crazy over the Video Kids react to K-pop. Now, I understand that these kids do not appreciate your Oppas and Unnis but there is no reason to threaten violence on children. They are children for GOD's sake. Sheesh! Anyhoo, as a K-pop fan in the West, for every 1 K-pop fan I find, there are 10 people who do not like the genre. That's just how it works in North America. No reason to lose your cool over a video.

Also, I love T-ara's Lovey Dovey Zombie MV. What a fun concept and love that they do not take themselves too seriously. I want more Zombies in K-pop. Also what a fun song by T-ara. I think they are the Queens of Catchy songs.
